LED Lighting

LED light strips are a very exciting new green technology.  While LED's have been around for some time only recently have they become affordable and powerful enough to be used on aquariums and vivarium.  The power consumption is amazingly low and while the initial fixture cost is a little higher they last virtually forever- in both the long and short run you will save big!

We recommend the softer lighting of the Single Bright strips for your forest environments.  We use this fixture on our crested gecko and they also work great on amphibians.  An added plus for both the cresteds, amphibians and other cooler temperature species is the LED lights generate very little heat.  Bonus!

If you are looking for some brighter, ambient light in your vivarium we would suggest the Double Bright.  While you do not get much heat output they work quite well for display enclosures for a number of species.  The night Blue LED's make it easy to observe your herps without disturbing them.
